Had dinner with YW and R at HK cafe at J8, before meeting WT at AMK, where we head to Kranji tgt with our heavy and bulky stuffs.
At Kranji MRT station.
This is the group that i'm in, OG6.
With JJ and E as our OGLs.
Queuing up for the public bus to get to S'pore checkpt. And the queue was SUPER LONG!This was my first time taking a public bus from S'pore to Malaysia.
We took SBS bus to Singapore checkpt, then took another bus to Malaysia checkpt. And then we had to wait for a private bus to bring us to our campsite.
So while waiting for the other grp, we did some introduction within our grp, took pictures, etc.
So when we reached our campsite, it was 4 plus 5 am alr.
We had to settle down quick as we had to rise early the next morning for out Mt Ophir trek.
This is the hut that the three girls shared.
JJ Me D.
E joined us for tt night, then the nxt day he slept in his hammock outside the hut.
The guy's hut beside ours.
U want to know how close are the hut situated?
Open our hut's window, and theirs, and we'll be able to see what each of us is doing.
Haha.
This picture is taken at our hut's window, without any zoom.
We woke up at ard 6am the nxt morning, and had breakfast that was prepared by Me and D.We bought 6 packs of Milo and 6 packs of Vitasoy. One circular pandan cake, 2 loaves of white bread, and nutalla. For the 9 of us.Haha.Abit alot right?Want to know how we clear our food, continue reading on...
Haha. After our breakfast, we packed our food and water for our daypack. We brought ALOT, a mama shop of tidbits.Look at L's bag and u'll know.Plus there were food in H's bad as well lor.Haha.
Look at the declaration form that we had to fill in before heading up to Mt Ophir.
This is L's.48 plastic wrapped food! Not including those in others bag haha.We even had to declare the clothes tt we're wearing, etc.
HUGE ants crawling along the pathways.
8am. Meeting pt before we head off.
OG6!Missing our OGLs, JJ and E.
Shortly after...OFF WE GO!!And we started off by climbing the never-ending flight of stairs.Worse than NVM.
Checkpt 1.
Everyone still quite alright.
Checkpt 2. Checkpt 3.
Feeling humid, and hot. (So unlike ChiangMai's cooling weather)
Perspiring like crazy.
See the guys shirts.
Climbed again for so long, and then we reached their stream.
And then we took a longer break.
Because for the past checkpts, we had only abt 5 mins to replenish ourself and head for the nxt checkpt.
And from one checkpt to another, it takes nearly an hour or so.
With our guide, in orange.
Every grp has their own guide to guide them.
And do u know they climb in crocs lar.
Super pro can.
Haha.

Throughout the trek, i climbed like one monkey.Using my hands and legs to grabbed anything that i can see.
I'm was so desperate that i couldn't even cared if my hands, legs, shirt, pant, or my bag is stained with mud.
My trekking speed wasn't that fast, but luckily the guys in our grp were kind enough to help and wait for us.
TY is 1.93m tall! And he trekked/climbed so fast that he even had time to pose and take pictures -.-Haha.Since he was in the grp infront of us, if we want to take a grp pic, he'll be the one taking pic for our whole grp.Thks!
Some of our shag looks.
But however tired we were, we still have mood to take pictures. Haha.
*Smile for the camera!
Checkpt 6

Then we had to climb up a cave.
What a forced smile. Haha.
Look at the other grp members below.
KY's stunt.
Haha.
And look at his one cool HOT PINK hair!

BW posing for 100plus advertisement.
With me being extra at the back.
Haha.
AHH!!
I finally see the sun! But i cant see KY's face?!
Haha.

There were ladders and ropes to aid in our climbing.
See how steep it is.

"Huh, so high...?!"
TY got injured.
Climb... Climb......
Then everyone had to climb up this rock.
See the mini ppl at the background.
This was the easier obstacle, the nxt one was the hardest.
After i finish climbing up, we had the hardest one awaiting for us to climb up.
Look at the beautiful scenary.
BW the army scout was the fastest in our grp.
He also helped us to take most of the pictures since he's always in the lead.
Can u see the people waiting below?
Then u'll know how steep and hard it is to climb up this.
It was my turn nxt.
I almost didn't want to continue on.
But i know i had no turning back.
Luckily YA and H were beside me, cheering me on, letting me take my time to climb while they asist me on.
Thanks thanks :)
Cuz i was very afraid before that.
Because i know tt if i slipped, or anything wrong happens, i'll sure plunged to death.
Everyone in our grp succedded!
Yeah!
Then we had to continue climbing again...
Telling myself to continue so as to not slow down the whole grp, then i had my first muscle cramp while trekking.
Gosh.
IT WAS SO PAINFUL!!
My first ever time having such 'experience'.
Struggling on...
Because checkpt 8 was the final one.
Checkpt 7.

My mud-stained legs.And my white-turned-brown shoes.
AND AND.... AFTER 7 HOURS,WE FINALLY REACHED THE PEAK OF MT OPHIR!!!:Dwe finally were able to rest, had our lunch (or rather biscuits, pockys, muslie bars).
D Me HL :)
Give me a nice jumpshot! (even though our legs were tired)
Haha.JUMPSHOT ON THE PEAK OF MT OPHIR.
How cool is that.
Hahaha.
D Me BW H L.
BW D Me L
We were suppose to stay at the peak for 1/2 hr.
But then it ended up to ard one two hours.
So the whole schedule dragged back.
Going down the mountain was no easy task.
A chinese saying, "Shang Shan Wrong Yi, Xia Shan Nan", it's easier to climb up a mountain then to go down.
Which is so true.
So very soon, it was nightfall.
And trekking at night is the very last thing that one would ever want.
You're unable to see the ground, whether there are stumbs, steps, logs, mud, muddy ground, etc.
Luckily i brought torch in my daypack.
If nt it'll be so much worse.
There were no moonlight or star light to shine our path, because the forest was way too dense.
So on the way down, we guided one another, passed msg down to help the person at the back to look out for obstacles, etc.
Some of the routes were so steep and muddy that i wasn't even able to stand on my shoes.
Plus my shoes were worn out as the base of my shoe was 1/2 way out alr.
Things weren't so easy.
Our grp drank finish all our water and all of us were so thirsty.
Our legs were so tired.
Thus we were all hoping to see the concrete stairs, because that was a sign of us reaching our campsite soon.
So we moved as fast as possible.
I grabbed any branches that i can see on my way, shone my torch at the path infront of me, walk like a crab since i cant walk with my toes pointed to the front as it was too steep, shutting my mouth because i was alr very thirsty.
Then at ard 930pm, we saw the concrete stairs.
Our moods all lightened up.
We knew our destination was quite near.
So we rushed down.
Yes really choing down as fast as we could.
Haha.
10pm.
WE REACHED!
:))
We rushed to get some drinks, filled up our declaration forms, then went for our shower.
12am.
We had our dinner.
Ate till 2.30am.
We stil had alot of food left. So we decided to play Indian Poker to clear our food.
1st asset of BW and Me.
Oreo cookies. Both of us almost (died) finished up the whole roll.
Sabo one another somemore lor.
Haha.
We played till 4.30am.
HAHA.
And i was sabo-ed the MOST jialat.
I had to eat 5.5 slices of bread, 2 jellies, 3/4 can of longanes, chocolates.
Luckily BW and L helped me with some of the bread and longanes resp.
The nxt day, we didn't go to the waterfall, like what they had planned initially.
Because everyone were too tired.
So we were allowed to slp till anytime we wanted.
But JJ D and Me slept for only 5 hrs.
Haha.
We woke up early, went to walk ard the campsite.
Took pictures of the campsite and the stream beside our hut.
