Misses breakfast with my family

In the morning, walked to the nearby coffee shop for breakfast with my family.

When i was walking and chatting with my family,
I suddenly realised how i missed those times :(

It's been so long since i've joined my family for saturday family breakfast.
This is all because of my Saturday morning lesson.

Since i was a kid, my family will go for morning breakfast at either the nearby coffee shops for our usual meals like ju kuay, prata, ji chiong fan, or take a walk to J8 for delifrance, or drive down to Thomson for prata.

Don't think that i'm crazy or smth, because I feel that,
Breakfast on Saturday/Public holidays is different from breakfast on Sunday mornings.

Yes, very different.


Anw, had lunch and studied with churchie WH at Dome in the afternoon.

Mug hard girl, you can do it!

I drank a pot of Earl Grey tea by myself. haha.

Off to send my emails to look for sponsors for X-treme Adventure.
Got myself even busier by agreeing to join the committee.
Haa.
And i've still got work tml.
Damn.
I dread going to work because of her.
Boo.

Yup, went with Odac peeps to watch at J8 today, a total of ten of us, including my cousin as i brought him along with me.

When the show ended, i was like, "huh... so fast..." :(

Too lazy to drive

My parents came to pick me up after my half-day at work today.

Then we headed to town for shopping.

I didn't get any stuffs today as i wasn't in the mood for shopping today.

Too tired.

And i still haven totally recover yet.

Boo.

Shopped for ard 4-5 hrs till i'm worned out when we were walking back to get the car.

Normally i can shop for quite long, but today it's just isn't me.

Even my mum was like "You're not getting anything today?"

"No, I'm too tired. I just want to go home and sleep."

Haha.

Surprisingly yeah.

Shopping has to depends on my mood as well.

Haha.

Then Dad asked me to drive home.

But i was to lazy.

Like wad my cousin said, "Normally if you have nt get a driving licence, you will want to drive. But after you get your licence, you will want ppl to drive you ard."

And i think this is so true.

Haha.

Because apparantly these few wks, i've been giving rather lame excuses when my parents ask me to drive.

Up till the point where my parents will say to me in a joking manner, "Then why you get your driving licence for?"

Then i will just smile back at them.

Haha.

Btw watched a korean movie with R that day.

If I were a Superman.

This movie is nt too bad, but just that it may be a lil boring at first.

But towards the end, it's a rather touching story.

Yup, and i'll be watching the long-awaited High School Musical 3 tml!

Finally.

Haha.

I just love their songs.

Woots!

I had a horrible day at work today.
First time i'm feeling so stressed up by work.
Never ending invoices left over by the accounts assistant who resigned.
But suprisingly, my friend msged me at the right time, asking how was work when i was feeling so lousy.
And he gave me some encouragements as well.
:)

There's an aunty that i'll always find her when i have problems doing my invoices.
And she'll always be so willing to help me and teach me.
She spent her time teaching me, so much so that she din finish her stuffs.
And by the time she finish explaining to me the different process, it was alr 6.50pm.
I took 10 mins to pack up, and left at 7pm.
She was still working when i left the office.
I feel so guilty
:S

During dinner, i told my mum about the things tt hapened in office today, and complained to her again abt the maid spoiling my bag tt i haven even used for 3mths.
Knowing i was feeling crappy, she suggested taking a walk to J8.
Haha.
We went to ntuc to get some stuffs, chatted with her about outings with my friends, etc.

And i felt much better when i reach home!

Tml's plan.
Practice my piano in the morning, since i have to play for church teens service for the whole of nov.
In the aftn will be meeting R for movie.
Then in the evening, there'l be the event meeting till ard 10pm.

heart ATTACK!

After lesson today, had lunch with D before heading to work.
Then after work, took train back to Bishan as i had dinner with my SIM ODAC friends.

While i was going out of the train station, i heard a familiar voice, and since i had my ear plucks on, i couldn't really figure out who was the person calling my name.
So when i turned ard, i saw A in his army clothes and bag.
As he was on his way back home.
Had a short chat with him, and then he went hm, and i went to meet D to meet the rest at Thomson.
It was our first time going out with the guys. Me Daph WT R D WM.

Anw, we had our dinner at Long Beach, and dessert at Ice-kimo.

It was all our first time at Ice-kimo.
The temperature of the place live up to its name. Haha.
Anw, we shared 8 scoops of icecream and 5 toppings for just 18 bucks.
And we played card games, board games, DS and DV's laptop.
Haha, we all enjoyed playing heart-attack the most!
Hitting each other's hands, slipping our hand through the pile of hands in order nt to place our hand at the top, picking who's Donkey, etc.

Yup, we'll have more outings to come!

Oct babies + gathering

Not long after the last Odac outing at Fukie's house, we met up once again!
This time,
it was cycling at Pasir Ris Park
dinner at New York New York
playing with fire sparklers at the park, trying so hard to write out the word 'ODAC'.
HAHA.

This whole day, we seriously cam-whored the MOST, till fukie's camera batt died on us.
haha.

We started off with cycling...

Make a guess, who's taller?! HAHA.Then we stopped here and started our gymnastic classes, cam-whoring... haha.

We decided to sit down and taking since our legs were rather tired after jumping around like some kangeroos on the loose haha.

And off we go, to return our bikes.

Next stop: Dinner at New York New York.Gummy is LOVE! 5 DSs and 1 more to come, CK's.

We were bored okie, so we started taking pictures again.

Bon Voyage

Suddenly when i need beautiful Chinese vocabularies and phrases, I cant think of any to write in the farewell card for LaoShi.
(Thks Veron for yr help haha!)

He was my Sunday school teacher when i was in secondary2.
And he's migrating to Perth, together with his wife.
His eldest daughter is alr married and living in Perth, but his youngest daughter will be still staying in Singapore as she needs to work over here.

Hmm my parents knew him since they were in their twenties.
I remembered that when i was young, we'll go to their house.
Adults will do their talking, and i rmb her younger daughter will chat with me, entertain me, and she even gave me a new set of fury-texture-like stickers.
Haha.

Anyway, hope that Laoshi and his wife will enjoy their retirement in Perth.
Thanks for all the care and concern towards my family all these times.
(whereby Laoshi will call our home, to check how my parents, brother and me are doing, our homework, studies, parent's work, etc.)

I almost...

I almost lose my patience and tolerance at work today.
Work was piling up like crazy, yet my supervsior kept asking me to do things for her.

"Later will you be free? Help me file these things."
"Help me send these letter through the in-house courier when you're free."
"Help me check if these invoices are blocked/unblocked for payment."
"After you finish, help me match the invoices with those in the system."
"Later when you complete your things, help me reverse the invoices."
"These pile of invoices, sort them according to their alphabet."

The worst one was:
Me: (After trying for a few times) I've problems with the invoice.
Supervisor: You go investigate the problem yourself. Call the vendor and ask, and find out the problem.
Me: @#!!!! GRH.
....

I almost,
ALMOST wanted to retort her back.
BUT i just controlled, and i didn't even bother to answer her a word when she told me to do all these things.
Unless she's blind that she can't see that the invoices are piling on my table, or she probably has STM as she has forgotten the amt of work she gave me.

In between the things she's allocated for me to do, she told me that she's so happy that her table are not piled with invoices anymore.
BECAUSE all the invoices are now on my table.

I had to give her face because she was my aunt's friend, so i remain cool in order to maintain my image.
Honestly, I almost couldn't contain the anger inside me.
It's hard you know.

I came back to help you on saturday after my school because you told me that you've got things to rush as yr accounts assistant just resigned.
I work from 8.30am to 6.30pm or 6.45pm instead of leaving at 6pm, just to help you lighten your workload.
And this is how the way you treat me in return.

Fine.

When i wanted to leave at 6.30pm today because my dad came back from Korea today, and it's been nearly a wk since we had dinner together,
BUT you told me to finish sorting the invoices before going hm.
Even though you said, "if you cant finish, leave it for the temp staff to do tml", I can see that you said tt because you had no choice.
So i knocked off at only 6.45pm.
It's not like i slacked during the whole day.
I worked hard, that i didn't even have the time to finish up my breakfast.
I did the work assigned as fast as i could, and then it was lunch time, and then, one by one, ppl were leaving the office to go home.

Very well.
You helped me towards the end when you saw that i was struggling to finish, but why didn't you did that earlier?
Comparing the workload, mine was much heavier than yours today.

ANYWAY.

I rushed home.
Complained to my parents over dinner, on the horrible treatment today.
Being furious, i talked so fast that grandma said that she couldn't even catch most of what i was saying. Haa.

Well, my parents gave me comments of both sides.

AGAINST ME:
Superiors have the power to tell their team what to do, even if it's simple tasks such as filing.
So you'll just have to follow what they tell you to do.
You have no choice, they are your supervisor.

PROS:
Sometimes, supervisor will give their assistant more things to do when they feel that they're more capable of doing things.
(So i'll treat what dad say as an encouragement to me. And i can use this to calm myself down whenever i feel unfair.)

One thing about part time temp staff is that you need nt stay late just to finish your things, assuming that during the day, you did not slack at all. Because as a part-timer, you have the benefit of leaving the things that u're unable to finish to the nxt working day.
(Yup i feel that this is quite true as well.)

So i'll have to work smart.
Things that i shld give in, i shld just give in.
And things that i shld nt give in, i won't give in anymore.

A rather lengthy post today.
But at least i feel better after writing all these out.
Gee.
What a day.

I'm off to do a card for one of my church teacher, who knew my parents since they were teenagers, because they're migrating to Perth tml.

I want my holidays!

While i was doing my banking and finance tutorial, suddenly this came into my mind.
"How i wish i could go there for a short relaxing holiday trip, away from this busy city..."

But too bad, brother's and my school holidays only coincides during the last wk Dec.
We wanted to go to TaiWan during the last wk of Dec, but all tickets were fully booked.
Boo.
Where is my annual overseas holiday this year with my family?
:(

I miss this place.
I miss my long hair.
I miss wearing braces.
And i miss my dark coloured skin tone.

One of the best resort/hotel i've been to.

It was only after this trip, where i got the darkest sun-tan in my ENTIRE life :D haha. (Cuz i'll always rmb how they teased me about my legs in the ChiangMai grp pic on the Odac board. Gosh! haha. Memories!) :))

Missed my chance

On Sunday morning, while we were having breakfast at Mac.
Chatting away, we suddenly touched on the topic of studying overseas.
Initially mum was telling me tt ZH kept persuading her to let me go to aust to find him, and i can also look for J as well.

And then...
Mum told this to me and brother,
Mum: If you all want to study overseas, you can. But you'll need to return us half if the sum for the school fees when you all start working.
Me: Eh!! Why didn't you said that earlier? If nt i'll sure study overseas. Boo.
Me: But what if we were to go to exchange programmes?
Mum: Of course we'll pay for all of that.
Me: -.- *disappointment. I have alr started school, so i dun think i'll have that chance anymore. (Saying to my brother) Well, you can consider that.
....
Me: *still complaining away, aiya why didn't you say that earlier?!


Then we changed topic and i continued eating my sausage Macmuffin.

Boo.
Why didn't i even dared to ask my parents to send me overseas.
(Because i'm afraid they'll reject it.)
But well, it's a lil too late for now.

Nvm, nxt year, girl, next year...
Parents said that they'll allow me to join the LSE summer school nxt year, but i'l have to keep a look out for the registration date, settle all the adminstrative stuffs on my own, and then let them know how much they'll need to pay for the summer school fees.

Friday after work, accompanied YW to pick her bf up.
Because it's safer to have someone to sit beside in the car, during the one year time frame after getting a car licence.

Just before hitting the road.

Focusing... NOT. Caught you closing yr eyes! Haha.

Then off we go!
She drove her bf's car to pick her bf after he book out from NS, at some ulu place like Lim Chu Kang.
So since it was really ulu, as only one or two cars were spotted on the wide and long road.
And then...

YW sped up to 140km/hr!!,
before releasing the accelerator pedal.
Cuz the vibration sound of the car was rather loud.
Haha.

After picking up her bf and his NS friend, the 2guys infront started talking about NS, and the girls behind started cam-whoring.
After dropping his friend off at a MRT stn, we (yes, i'm the bright light bulb haha) headed down to Serangoon Gardens for Sushi Tei. Practically everywhere was packed with ppl. And thus we were only seated at 9.30pm.

Had a sumptious meal, then headed to Ice^3 for dessert!

Sorry or the delay of pictures, cuz i was drowning with homework tutorials lecture and work! Yeap it's work that's making me so tiring these 2 wks.
I practically jump into my bed everytime i reach home after work.
Being an accounts assistant is like... so SO MANY things to do, NON-STOP.

That day, or rather last mon, i was late by an hour because of the traffic jam to town.
The girls waited for me patiently and kept delaying the time of the served, so that we can have our dinner together.

Dinner at Manhattan Market. (During that wk, i went on mon with the girls, and sat with my parents. Quite sick of the food there now.)

Because everytime we take a picture, we'll eat one fries.

Next stop, mango dessert!Char!YW busy on the phone talking to her NS bf, while Kel's trying to take a perfect shoot.We didn't feel like going home too early tt night, so we started taking pictures.Then YW disappeared off to hide in a corner, so tt we cant hear her lil sweet and mushy convo with her bf. HAHA.

X-ray

Mum will be going for an X-ray tomorrow morning at Endoscopy Centre, Gleneagles Hospital, to scan her stomach and stuffs.
Because she's having pain, or more like gastric pain, frequently for the past month or so.
It's not due to skipping meals, but rather, stress.
Yup, too much stress.
From us kids, and work.
That's what she told us.

The X-ray procedure starts from dinner time, where she can't have her dinner today, but to follow the presciptions given by the doctor, and gulp down lots of water (like 2 whole big jar), mixed with some rather weird taste medicine.
Then tml morning, she heads down to Gleneagles, and they'll do the X-ray, by putting a long camera tube down her throat and into her stomach.
Sounds gross right.
But yeah, that's how they do it.

Hope that everything will go well for mum tml!

PAIN(t)BALL

Update/
On Sunday, went for PAIN(T)BALL organised by Odac.
It was such a hot weather tt day. But to protect our legs from getting bruises, we wore tee and track pants instead of tee and fbts.
Pictures aren't with me, so yup, i'll upload them when i've got them from QQ.

Guys hold the rifle so neatly, while we girls (due to not being trained from NS) hold the rifle, pointing anywhere we like. Haha.

Paintball is fun!
Aiming and shooting down obstacles makes you feel so satisfied :)
I dun mind playing it again and again, UNLESS the after effects aren't that painful :S

Anw after round 1, our grp got into round 2, because we had the faster timing among the 4 grps. And among all the 12 grps, we had the second fastest timing of 26secs! IT SHOULD BE THE FASTEST TEAM FOR THE FIRST ROUND, AS POINTED OUT BY RP, BECAUSE WE HAD 2 OBJECTIVES INSTEAD OF ONE.PRO?! HAHA. FIRST-TIMERS OKIE. =D

But sadly we lost during round 3, because we were slower by one flag only. But it's okie cuz i had fun! :) haha. During the paintball war, you won't bother abt the pain when u're being it. It's only after that, then u're realised that you've gotten injuries while u were playing.

One gd example was that, after playing all the rounds, I got hit by the paintball on my head and ribs, bleeding from my thumb, injury marks on my wrist and fingers :S I'm prone to injuries haha.

Anw, way to go for team 12! (which is the team tt i'm in) Haha. We did a great job. Cuz our timing was damn fast for round 2! :))

We shall play bring 19th batch to play paintball one day. Haha. (So Fukie, let yr leg heal faster, and we shall wait for Jen when she's back in town!)

And someone organise laser quest please... haha.
